Salary:

JOB SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE:

The position will be responsible for processing raw materials for downstream production and producing finished goods.

POSITION TYPE / HOURS OF WORK:

Full-Time Non-Exempt

8 hours per day / 40 hours per week / Monday Friday. Overtime available when business needs dictate

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Mix, measure and weigh all product ingredients to specification.
• 
  Operate 60- & 84-inch mills.
• 
  Operate calendar.
• 
  Operate windup table.
• 
  Operate slitter.
• 
  Operate extruder.
• 
  Operate core cutter.
• 
  Operate overhead crane.
• 
  Operate forklift.
• Perform routine forklift inspection.
• 
  Perform routine equipment checks and report any issues.
• 
  Utilize technical program to create and print labels.
• 
  Adhere labels.
• 
  Utilize and read tape measures, calipers, gauges and scales.
• Meet all production standards; perform work in an accurate and efficient manner.

• Work in a safe manner adhering to all established safety guidelines and requirements.

• Accurately complete work order paperwork on a daily basis.

• Ensure that business goals, deadlines and performance standards are met.

• Follow all outlined processing specifications, understanding and achieving all quality requirements.
• Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
• Clean work area at the conclusion of each shift.
• Regular attendance according to schedule.
• Follow all Company policy and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Weight Lifting and Carrying:
  • Frequently lifts or carries objects weighing 1025 pounds
  • Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds
  • May involve assistance or mechanical aids for heavier loads
• Standing and Walking:
  • Frequent standing and walking are required, often for extended periods
  • Walking on concrete floors, between workstations, or across large production areas
• Pushing and Pulling:
  • May involve pushing/pulling carts, bins, machinery components, or other items up to 50 pounds
• Bending, Stooping, and Twisting:
  • Regular bending and stooping to handle materials or access lower work surfaces
  • Twisting while using tools or assembling parts

• Climbing and Balancing:

• • Occasionally involves climbing ladders or stairs
  • Requires good balance and spatial awareness in fast-paced or noisy environments
• Manual Dexterity:
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination for handling tools, machine parts, or small components
  • May include tasks like assembly, packing, or machine operation
• Repetitive Motions:
  • Jobs may involve repetitive motions of hands, wrists, arms, or shoulders for prolonged periods
• Environmental Factors:
  • Exposure to noise, dust, temperature fluctuations, and moving machinery
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) gloves, kevlar sleeves, safety glasses and steel toe shoes. Additional PPE may be required not listed above.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

TRAVEL:

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Preferred:

• 
  High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 
  2+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
