About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Risk Officer to lead the strategic planning and oversight of its enterprise-wide risk management framework. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the organization effectively identifies, measures, monitors, and controls various types of risks, including credit, interest rate, liquidity, price, operational, compliance, strategic, and reputation risks. This role involves integrating risk management with business planning, establishing and maintaining a compliant risk appetite framework, and developing risk management methodologies and tools. The Chief Risk Officer will also be tasked with directing and overseeing risk management activities, serving as a liaison between management and the Board of Directors, and contributing to the development of business unit strategies. Applicants for the Chief Risk Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field, with a Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of 10 years' experience in risk management and/or compliance within the financial industry is required, along with a strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a proven leadership ability, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to manage and develop personnel resources. Proficiency in MS Office is expected, as well as the ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines, and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
