Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Commercial Refrigeration Technicians for a travel assignment in Winston-Salem, NC . This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team and work on large-scale commercial refrigeration projects. Candidates will be responsible for installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration systems while working in a fast-paced commercial environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, refrigeration installation experience, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Experience with ammonia systems is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration systems and related equipment at job sites.
• Perform installation of refrigeration piping and overhead line sets.
• Install refrigeration cases and evaporators.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, plumbing diagrams, and refrigeration layouts.
• Perform brazing and piping modifications as required.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge and welding skills to complete repairs and system modifications.
• Coordinate with project teams and maintenance personnel to ensure timely completion of work.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation of completed work.
• Follow all company and job site safety procedures and standards.

Required Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of commercial refrigeration experience
• Strong background in:
• • Brazing
  • Refrigeration pipe installation
  • Running overhead line sets
  • Installing refrigeration cases
  • Installing evaporators
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems
• Experience using diagnostic tools including ohmmeters and testing equipment
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, construction practices, and refrigeration equipment
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred
• Ability to travel for the duration of the assignment
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and maintain high safety standards
