Description
  • Conduct thorough evaluations on pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients through standardized assessments and observation techniques.
  • Create tailored treatment strategies that cater to immediate goals and longer-term speech, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
  • Implement individualized therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, language fluency, voice clarity, and swallowing capabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow healthcare providers, including physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, and physicians, to develop integrated care plans.
  • Provide educational resources to patients and families to facilitate progress beyond therapy sessions.
  • Occasionally participate in inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless care throughout the treatment experience.
  • Keep precise, timely documentation that aligns with all relevant state, federal, and institutional directives.
  • Stay informed on the latest advancements in the field via continuing education and collaborative networking with peers.
Education
  • Possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Fulfill a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
  • Holding a state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.

  • Expertise in evidence-based practices for individuals of all ages, with a deep understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing issues.
