Why This Role Matters Medical Assistant Supervisor will be responsible for assisting in providing care to patients and supervising the Certified Medical Assistants across the organization in conjunction with the Nurse Manager. Responsibilities Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of the job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues at all levels. Assists in professional development of all Certified Medical Assistant staff; designs and executes training programs as needed. Supervises assigned CMAs in conjunction with the organization’s managerial and leadership practices. Provides clinical oversight of the services provided by the Certified Medical Assistants through direct observation and formal competency assessment, in conjunction with the Nurse Manager. Monitors task boxes, inboxes, scanning needs, prior authorizations, and other administrative tasks in conjunction with Senior Certified Medical Assistants; deploys support and resources where needed to stay current with these tasks. Assists with oversight of the environment of care, ensuring adherence to CHC infection control and safety policies and procedures; monitors employee performance in the same. Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance. Omission of specific duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment for this position. Job Competencies & Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or GED. Medical Assistant Certificate from an approved school with current national certification from an approved certifying body. 2+ years of medical assistant experience preferred. 1+ year supervisory experience required. Experience in EKG and phlebotomy. BLS certification. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Valid New Jersey driver’s license. Bilingual (English/Spanish/Haitian Creole) preferred. Working Conditions / Physical Demand Working indoors with telephone, copier, fax machine, computer, printer, centrifuge, electric exam table, glucometer, nebulizer, needles/syringes, oxygen equipment, scales, sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, thermometer, venipuncture equipment, wheelchair. In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the total compensation range for this position is USD $26.00 to USD $34.00.
