Job Description

As a Medicare Sales Field Agent with Humana in the Sales & Business Development department, you will play a key role in helping Medicare-eligible individuals make informed decisions about their health coverage. Operating in the Banking, Insurance & Investment industry, you will represent Humana’s portfolio of Medicare Advantage, Prescription Drug, and Medicare Supplement plans in your local community, serving as a trusted advisor to seniors, caregivers, and community partners. In this member-focused, field-based role, you will actively prospect and develop a territory, generating leads through community events, educational seminars, physician and clinic relationships, faith-based and senior organizations, and existing member referrals. You will conduct one-on-one consultations and small-group presentations to explain the features, benefits, and costs of Humana’s Medicare offerings, guiding individuals to coverage options that align with their health needs, financial situation, and lifestyle preferences. Throughout every interaction, you will be expected to uphold strict compliance with CMS marketing regulations and Humana’s standards of integrity, ensuring that all information provided is accurate, clear, and unbiased. You will manage your own schedule and daily activities in the field, planning routes, prioritizing follow-ups, and documenting interactions and outcomes using Humana’s CRM and reporting tools. Success in this position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to build trust quickly with diverse populations, and a consultative approach to selling that emphasizes listening, education, and long-term relationships over transactional sales. You will be accountable for meeting and exceeding sales and membership growth targets while supporting high levels of member satisfaction and retention.
