Responsibilities Support the learning and development of children in line with the EYFS framework Plan and deliver age‑appropriate activities Ensure a safe, secure, and inclusive environment for all children Monitor and record children’s progress and development Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues Assist with daily routines, including meals, hygiene, and playtime Always follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures Experience Experience working in a nursery or early years setting Knowledge of the EYFS framework Experience supporting children aged 0–5 years – desirable Suitable for both newly qualified and experienced Nursery Nurses Skills Caring, patient, and nurturing nature Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to create engaging and creative activities Good observational and organisational skills Team player with a positive attitude Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s wellbeing Educational requirements Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (or equivalent) GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths – desirable Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to obtain) Safeguarding training (or willingness to undertake) Description We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Nurse to join a warm and nurturing early years setting in St Albans.
