The part-time Office Services Assistant is responsible for maintaining daily business operational duties such as administrative task management, managing building facilities, and providing support to staff for tasks related to this work. Key duties include office supply delegation and replenishment, management of incoming and outgoing mail/packages, coordinating vendor services, maintaining office equipment, set up/break down of tables for office events, and supporting staff onboarding and offboarding.
The ideal candidate will be a strong multi-tasker with great organizational skills, have previous experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), possess the ability to communicate professionally in an office setting, and have previous experience with using standard office equipment (printers, scanners, etc).
The hourly pay range for this role is $16.50 - $20.50 per hour. Any extended offer is based on the candidate's experience and overall fit for the role.
The work schedule will consist of 8-12 hours a week on Tuesday and Wednesday between the hours of 8:30am-2:30pmCT.
Main responsibilities include managing office upkeep including the restocking of kitchenette supplies, acting as point of contact for office facility vendors and maintenance, preparing conference rooms for meetings and events through the setup and break down of tables and chairs, processing and preparing incoming/outgoing mail and packages including post office mailings and UPS shipments, conducting various administrative tasks such as data entry, scanning, and filing documents, handling invoice management, managing inventory control by stocking, ordering, and organizing office supplies and equipment, providing onboarding/offboarding support including setup for new hires and equipment return for exiting staff, occasionally using manual pallet jack to move shipment pallets, adhering to ASQ Competencies: Trust, Accountability, Collaboration, and Transparency, and performing all other duties as assigned.
Working conditions and physical requirements include 2 days in office at the Milwaukee Headquarters location (Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 8-12 hours per week with the ability to work additional hours, if required). This position requires the ability to perform the following essential physical functions, with or without reasonable accommodation: frequently sit at a desk and work at a computer for extended periods of time, stand and walk within the workplace and event spaces, lift, carry, push, and/or move tables, chairs, and other objects weighing up to 50 pounds, bend, reach, and grasp items during setup and breakdown activities, and perform repetitive motions such as typing and mouse use.
Position minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, minimum of 1 year of experience in an office services or administrative role, or equivalent combination of education and experience, and must be able to comply with attendance and timeliness policies.
