Apache Workforce Houston, TX 77051 & 77045 Day & Night Shift Available Pay: $20–$33/hour based on experience Night Shift Differential: Additional 10% on top of base pay Apache Workforce is currently hiring experienced Pipe Welders for opportunities with TAS Energy in Houston, TX. We are seeking skilled welders with strong fabrication and pipe welding experience who are ready to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment with long‑term opportunities. Position Overview The Pipe Welder is responsible for weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations used in the manufacturing of products according to customer drawings, specifications, and work instructions. This role requires proficiency in multiple welding techniques and a strong understanding of welding processes, materials, and safety procedures. Key Responsibilities Perform high-quality pipe welding and fabrication operations Read and interpret blueprints, pipe drawings, weld symbols, and instrumentation drawings Set up and operate MIG welding equipment Understand pipe schedules, base materials, and welding applications Work with various steel alloys, aluminum, and specialty materials Set up welding parameters including amps, volts, and fixturing Use conventional and precision measuring tools accurately Complete process inspections, certifications, and documentation Perform welding equipment inspections and routine maintenance Support inventory audits and material tracking processes Maintain a clean and organized workspace following 5S standards Follow OSHA regulations, PPE requirements, and company safety procedures Participate in safety meetings and training sessions Perform additional duties assigned Qualifications & Skills Minimum 5 years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment Ability to pass an internal welding test Strong blueprint and weld symbol reading skills Knowledge of pipe welding procedures and fabrication techniques Ability to read measuring devices and calculate dimensions accurately Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently and within a team environment Good written and verbal English communication skills Basic math skills for measurements and calculations Education High School Diploma or GED required Work Environment & Physical Requirements Work performed in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing/shop environment Exposure to hot and cold temperatures typical of industrial facilities Ability to stand and walk for extended periods up to 10 hours per shift Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, kneeling, and lifting required Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs Frequent use of hands for welding, handling tools, and coordination tasks Ability to climb ladders and stairs as needed Normal vision and hand-eye coordination required Steel-toe boots, safety glasses, and required PPE must be worn at all times Schedule Day Shift Available Overtime opportunities available Apply Today Apache Workforce is seeking dependable and experienced Pipe Welders ready to start immediately and grow within a leading industrial manufacturing team in Houston.
