Description

  • Implement targeted speech therapy sessions that focus on improving communication, language fluency, vocal skills, and swallowing mechanisms.
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provide education to patients and their families to bolster progress and understanding beyond therapy sessions.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient therapy assessments, maintaining seamless care throughout the health journey.
  • Document treatment plans and progress meticulously, adhering to all regulatory guidelines.
  • Commit to ongoing professional growth by embracing new methods and collaborating with peers.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required for candidates not yet certified by ASHA.
Certifications
  • Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
